("Individuals in Groups" Revision)

In the article”Individuals in Groups” by Carol Tavris, he states that the individuals are more active than when they are in a group. In his writing, writer clearly supports his statement with different experimental example that the individuals act differently when they are in a group. He also says that people become lazier when they do group activities and get depend on others which is call diffusion of responsibility or social loafing. Depending on my personal experience, I completely agree with the author that group always makes us lazier and lets us to think differently.
First of all, we are human beings and we like to follow each other. However, it does only work when we are in our own. If it comes to work in a group then we do the opposite. Instead of following the group members and do the work we get depend on them and divide the responsibilities. We always think that other group members will do it. Psychologists call this diffusion of responsibility or social loafing. Lets tell you a story, once upon a time there was a king who wanted to take shower in a pool which is full of milk instead of water. So, he asked his citizens to give him five gallons of milk from each by the end of the night. The next day, the king was so happy because he was going to take shower in pool which is full of milk given by his citizens. However, when he went there the pool was full of water because no one bought the milk for him. Everyone thought that if everybody give milk then I can give five gallons of water. Thats how we human beings are. If the the king asked one person to bring the milk then he could have taken shower with milk. This story clearly shows that how we divide our responsibilities.
In addition, group also makes us lazy.  When we are in a group we expect someone else to do our job. In my every class I used to do my class presentation and homework on time. However, in my last semester, my professor assigned me a group presentation with four group members and we missed it. Most of the member in our group thought that someone else is going take an initiative action or going to ask to do the work but no one did and we could not present the presentation on time.
In conclusion, I strongly argue that groups always divide our responsibility among the group members which makes us lazy. However, it’s always good to work in a group even though it’ makes us lazy. Every things that we have in this world has two sides. In this case i think group has more white side then the black side if get aware of ourselves and try to be careful during the group work.
